As with many places which serve deep fried foods, Kent's needs to grasp the concept of draining the grease out of the food. It's not that difficult! Mainly, we would go there for clam cakes and chowder, occasionally, fish and chips. The past few years or so, the quality of these items has REALLY declined. They used to have the best chowder in the area, in our opinion, but sadly, the quality has gone WAY downhill, tasting as if it was diluted and tasteless, with far too much flour or cornstarch added to compensate. If you get even one piece of minced clam in a clam cake, consider yourself lucky. The French fries are ALWAYS soggy and in need of a major decreasing. Very sad, as this restaurant used to be consistently above average. This has not been our experience in quite some time, and we have stopped going there. Hopefully, they will somehow, get the quality back up to where it once was. We miss the way it used to be.
Very good food. Between 3 of us we had baked scrod, chicken parmesan, and baked stuffed shrimp. The restaurant looks more like a banquet hall with many rows of tables, but we enjoyed the food and the free 1/2 carafe of wine with certain entrees that were two entrees for 27.95.
First time here. Me and my boyfriend were Very impressed.. food was great had lobster roll,clam cakes,chowder, little necks. Staff was great!!! Definitely will be back
Take out staff are fast,courteous and wanting to please. Plus the food is great and reasonably priced.
Prices were reasonable, food portions great. Good drinks. Great wait staff. Family friendly
